Listing photo resizer

Resize a batch of listing photos to the size the MLS, Zillow, Realtor.com, Airbnb, Vrbo or Booking.com asks for, and save them as JPEGs or one ZIP. Free, no account, no watermark.

Your photos never leave this device. Resizing happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to October or anyone else, and the GPS location and camera data are removed from every photo you save.

    What size each platform wants

Each preset uses the numbers the platform publishes, as checked in our guides. Photos are only ever made smaller, never stretched or cropped.

Every minimum here is below what an iPhone 12 or newer shoots (4032 × 3024 at 12 MP), so a photo that fails one is almost always a copy, not the original. Zillow, Realtor.com and Redfin home listings usually show what your MLS sends them, so the MLS size is the one that matters most for agents.

    Why the location comes off

A phone photo usually carries where it was taken (GPS coordinates), the phone model and the time in its EXIF data. Some sites strip that on upload and some keep the original file; you don't have to find out. Drawing the photo onto a canvas and saving a new JPEG writes none of it, so every file this tool saves is clean. The one cost: a copyright note or capture date in the file is gone too, and some MLSs look for those, so add one back in your editor if yours does.

    Why it never enlarges

Making a 900-pixel photo 2048 pixels wide adds pixels, not detail: it passes the upload check and looks soft on every screen, which is worse than the error. So when a photo is smaller than a preset, the resizer keeps its size and tells you it is under the platform's minimum. That is the same "photo too small" error the portal would give you, and the fix is the original file, not a bigger copy.

    Questions

What size should listing photos be for the MLS?

Landscape JPEGs about 2048 pixels on the long edge (HomeJab's MLS guidance is about 2048 × 1365 at 3:2). That clears every portal minimum in our photo size guide. Your own MLS's rules come first; see MLS photo rules by MLS.

What photo size does Zillow want?

Zillow's upload rules ask for at least 330 × 220 pixels and suggest 1536 × 1152, in JPG, GIF, PNG or TIF under 50 MB (10 MB suggested). Listings that come from an MLS feed show the MLS's photos, so fix those at the MLS.

What size should Airbnb photos be?

Airbnb's Help Center says at least 1024 × 683 pixels; its Resource Center recommends at least 1200 × 800, bigger is better, and files up to about 10 MB. The Airbnb preset keeps photos large (4000 px on the long edge) and under 10 MB. More in Airbnb photos not uploading.

Are my photos uploaded to October?

No. The resizer runs in your browser: your photos are opened, resized and saved on your own device, and the page sends nothing to October or anyone else.

Does resizing remove the GPS location from my photos?

Yes. Every photo is redrawn and saved as a new JPEG, and a new JPEG written this way carries no EXIF data: no GPS position, no camera details, no date. If your MLS wants a copyright note in the file, add it in your photo editor afterwards.

Why does it say my photo is too small?

Because the photo has fewer pixels than the platform's minimum, and enlarging it would not add detail. Small photos are usually copies: a screenshot, a photo saved from a chat or a heavy crop. Find the original, which from any iPhone 12 or newer is 4032 × 3024 or more.

Can it convert iPhone HEIC photos to JPEG?

Yes, if your browser can open HEIC (Safari on a recent iPhone or Mac usually can); every photo comes out as a JPEG. If the browser can't, the resizer says so: export the photo as JPEG, or set Settings > Camera > Formats > Most Compatible for new photos.
