Autoenhance.ai alternatives in 2026: 8 options compared by what you need

The right Autoenhance.ai alternative depends on why you are looking: if you want another automated editor for files you shot, Imagen AI (its Lightroom-based desktop app learns your look; its browser app, Imagen for Real Estate, is $0.32 a photo) and AI HomeDesign (staging and edits by the photo) are the closest; if you want a person on every image, PhotoUp, BoxBrownie and Styldod edit by hand in 24–48 hours; if you want staging and a short video on one plan, Shhots; and if nobody on the job is a photographer at all, October guides an iPhone capture and returns AI-generated photos drawn from that capture, plus a walkthrough video, usually within a few hours, for $49 a place. This page compares eight options from their public pages as of October 2026; it is written by October's founder and ranks October where it fits.

How we compared them

We read Autoenhance.ai's homepage, pricing page, API page and its pricing announcement, and for each alternative its own pricing page or help pages, on October 21, 2026. Autoenhance.ai's plan prices load inside the pricing page after it opens, and Imagen's pages refuse plain downloads, so on October 22, 2026 we read both in a browser. We did not run the same shoot through every service, so this is a comparison of what each one offers and charges, not of image quality.

A note on currency: Autoenhance.ai sells in USD, EUR and GBP. AI HomeDesign shows USD, GBP, EUR and CAD. PhotoUp, Styldod and Shhots show dollars with no currency named. BoxBrownie's pricing page shows prices by region; we quote its US prices, read on October 27, 2026 with the region set to United States (enhancement $1.60, day to dusk $4, virtual staging $24), which are 20% below the $2, $5 and $30 list prices captured in August 2026 by Shhots.

Who should not switch away from Autoenhance.ai

Autoenhance.ai is built for one job and says so: its homepage headline is 'AI Photo Editing for Real Estate Photographers', and it lists HDR merging of bracketed exposures, window pulls, sky replacement, perspective and colour correction, white balance, relighting, RAW support, 360° enhancement and removing the camera from mirrors. It promises full property shoots 'edited in 5 to 10 minutes', lets you preview every enhancement free and pay only for what you download, and says it is used by thousands of real estate photographers.

  • You shoot brackets and want them merged automatically. Its pricing announcement says one download costs one credit whether it is a single frame, a 360° photo or a multi-bracket HDR merge. Of the alternatives, only PhotoUp (1.25 credits an HDR) and BoxBrownie price a bracket merge at all; AI HomeDesign lists an HDR tool but prices by the uploaded photo.
  • You need an API. Autoenhance.ai's API page says anything you can do in the web app can be automated, with SDKs and code samples, a free API key, and workflows for real estate media agencies and PropTech platforms. Among the alternatives, only Virtual Staging AI's top plan, AI HomeDesign's Enterprise tier and Imagen's Business plans mention an API; the first two are not editing APIs for brackets, and Imagen's comes with a business plan rather than a free key.
  • You process volume. Its pricing page sells pay per image at $0.75, an Essential plan at $29 a month for 100 images on a limited offer (normally $58) with extra images at $0.29 and unused credits carried to the next month, and custom Enterprise pricing from 5,000 images a month. The human services below charge per image with no volume plan like that.
  • You want to see the edit before you pay. Free, watermarked previews without an account are a genuine difference; the human services charge when you order.

If one of those is you, the rest of this page is for the day you need something Autoenhance.ai does not list: a person on the image, virtual staging or item removal, a video, or photos when nobody on the job is a photographer.

Which alternative, by what you need

Your situationLook atWhy
I shoot brackets and want another automated editorImagen AI (or stay with Autoenhance.ai)Imagen's desktop app learns your look from your Lightroom catalog and charges from $0.05 a photo with a $7/month minimum; Imagen for Real Estate merges brackets in the browser for $0.32 a photo and adds 5 human revisions per listing. Autoenhance.ai gives a free API key to anyone and lets you preview every edit free before you pay; Imagen keeps API access for its Business plans.
I want a person to look at every imagePhotoUp, BoxBrownie, StyldodAll three say human editors do the work, in 24–48 hours, at $1.50–$1.60 an image for an enhancement. PhotoUp will assign you a dedicated editor; Styldod offers a money-back guarantee.
I need virtual staging or item removalAI HomeDesign, Imagen for Real Estate, Shhots (AI); Styldod, BoxBrownie, PhotoUp (human staging or AI credits); October (per room)Autoenhance.ai's homepage lists neither staging nor general item removal, only camera removal from mirrors. AI staging elsewhere is $0.24–$0.63 a photo (AI HomeDesign), $0.32 within Imagen for Real Estate's photo price or about $0.45 (Shhots); human staging is $16–$24 an image. October stages at $29 per room. See our virtual staging cost guide and best virtual staging apps.
I don't have a photographerOctoberEvery other option here starts from photos or brackets somebody shot. October guides the capture on an iPhone 12 or newer, draws the finished photos from it with an AI image model, and usually returns them and a walkthrough within a few hours. For phone apps that send your shots to editors, see the best real estate photography apps.
I need videoOctober, Shhots, StyldodOctober's walkthrough is AI-generated motion (Kling) between the room's finished photos, in HD or 4K. Shhots makes a 15-second narrated clip from 3–4 photos. Styldod edits video you shoot, from $60, or makes a single property video from $30. Autoenhance.ai, Imagen AI, AI HomeDesign, PhotoUp and BoxBrownie list no video service.
I need floor plans or rendersBoxBrownie, PhotoUp, StyldodBoxBrownie floor plans $24–$32 and renders from $280; PhotoUp 2D floor plans for 20 credits; Styldod floor plans from $9 and 3D renders from $250. None of the automated editors here draw plans.

What a 6-room listing costs: per download vs per place

Take a six-room home and 18 photos, three per room, which is what October captures. Here is that job on three paths, using the list prices above (Imagen's desktop app for the Imagen line). For the photographer we use PhotoUp's 2026 national average of $230 for a standard shoot of 10–25 MLS-ready photos.

Read it both ways. If a photographer is already on the job, the automated editors cost very little on top of the shoot and October's $49 is the more expensive option; you also keep the photographer's camera. If the photos still have to be taken, October's $49 covers the capture, and the first place is free, including the walkthrough (pricing). More on photographer rates in our real estate photography cost guide.

Three things to check before you switch

  • Whether anyone looks at the result. PhotoUp, BoxBrownie and Styldod say a person does. Imagen for Real Estate has a person fix photos you flag, 5 revisions per listing. Autoenhance.ai, Imagen's desktop app, AI HomeDesign, Shhots and October do not promise one; Shhots says outright that nobody reviews it. Autoenhance.ai's free preview is its answer to that: you look before you pay.
  • What the price is really per. Per download, pay as you go or on a monthly allowance (Autoenhance.ai), per photo with a monthly minimum (Imagen's desktop app) or per edited photo billed monthly (Imagen for Real Estate), per photo on a monthly allowance with all later edits included (AI HomeDesign), per credit with a scale by photo type (PhotoUp), per image (BoxBrownie, Styldod), per credit on a monthly pool (Shhots) or per place of up to six rooms (October). Count your photos per listing and listings per month before comparing.
  • Disclosure. Sky replacement, which Autoenhance.ai lists, and staging, item removal and twilight edits are alterations under California's AB 723 and most MLS rules, whoever makes them; HDR merging, window pulls, perspective, light and colour corrections generally are not. That exemption does not cover October: every October photo is a new image drawn by an AI model, so label it as AI-altered or digitally altered where your MLS, portal or state requires. California's AB 723 also wants a link or QR code to the original; October's download includes the unaltered original of every photo, so you can link or provide it where your MLS or state requires. See AI photo editing and MLS rules.

Questions

What is the best alternative to Autoenhance.ai?

It depends on what you are missing. For another automated editor of brackets you shot, Imagen AI is the closest: from $0.05 a photo in its Lightroom-based desktop app, or $0.32 a photo in its browser app, Imagen for Real Estate. For a person on every image, PhotoUp, BoxBrownie and Styldod. For staging and item removal, which Autoenhance.ai does not list, AI HomeDesign or Shhots. If nobody on the job is a photographer, October guides an iPhone capture, draws AI-generated listing photos from it that keep the room's layout and fixed features, and usually returns them with a walkthrough video within a few hours.

How much does Autoenhance.ai cost?

Its pricing page (read October 22, 2026) lists $0.75 an image pay as you go, and an Essential plan at $29 a month for 100 images on a limited offer (normally $58), with extra images at $0.29 and unused credits carried to the next month. Companies editing 5,000+ images a month get custom Enterprise pricing. Prices are shown in USD, EUR or GBP; previews are free and you pay only for what you download.

Does Autoenhance.ai do virtual staging?

Its homepage does not list virtual staging or general item removal; the only removal feature is taking the camera out of mirrors. For staging, AI HomeDesign (about $0.24–$0.63 a photo), Shhots (about $0.45), Styldod ($16–$23 human) and BoxBrownie ($24 human) are on this page, and October stages at $29 per room.

Which Autoenhance.ai alternatives have a human editor?

PhotoUp (human editors and dedicated editors from $7.94 an hour), BoxBrownie ('human editors', 24 hours) and Styldod (Expert Services with QA, 24–48 hours). Imagen for Real Estate edits with AI but includes 5 human revisions per listing. Imagen's desktop app, AI HomeDesign, Shhots and October are automated, as is Autoenhance.ai.

Can October replace Autoenhance.ai for my photos?

Not for photos you already have. October only works from captures made in its own app on an iPhone 12 or newer, where the app walks you to each spot and takes the photos itself. An AI image model then draws each finished photo from that capture. It replaces the photographer and the editor together, not the editor alone.

Did you test all eight?

No. This page compares what each service publishes on its own pricing page or help pages, checked on October 21 and 22, 2026; Autoenhance.ai's prices and Imagen's pages were read in a browser. We only describe October from first-hand knowledge, because we make it.
