Styldod alternatives in 2026: 8 options compared by what you need

The right Styldod alternative depends on what you are replacing: for staging by a person with revisions, BoxBrownie is the closest at $24 an image; for staging in seconds, Virtual Staging AI, Collov, AI HomeDesign and Shhots work out at about $0.24–$2.67 a photo; for human photo editing, PhotoUp's credits start at $1.50; and if nobody on the job is a photographer, October guides an iPhone capture and returns AI-generated photos drawn from it, plus an AI walkthrough video, usually within a few hours, for $49 a place, with staging at $29 a room. This page compares eight options from their public pages as of October 2026, with a worked cost for a six-room listing; it is written by October's founder and ranks October where it fits.

How we compared them

We read Styldod's homepage and its virtual staging page (its /pricing address returned a 404 when we tried it, so the per-image prices here come from the virtual staging page's price list) and, for each alternative, its own pricing page, on October 21, 2026. We did not order the same room from every service, so this is a comparison of what each one offers and charges, not of staging quality.

A note on currency: Styldod, PhotoUp, Virtual Staging AI, Collov and Shhots show prices in dollars with no currency named. AI HomeDesign shows USD, GBP, EUR and CAD. BoxBrownie's pricing page shows prices by region; we quote its US prices, read on October 27, 2026 with the region set to United States (enhancement $1.60, day to dusk $4, virtual staging $24), which are 20% below the $2, $5 and $30 list prices captured in August 2026 by Shhots.

Who should not switch away from Styldod

Styldod does several things well, and a page of alternatives should say so. Its virtual staging page prices human staging at $23 an image, or $16 at 8 or more, in 24–48 hours, with unlimited free revisions and a 100% money-back guarantee, and says it has served 25,000+ real estate professionals and delivered 150,000+ images over 6+ years. Its homepage describes 'Expert Services' delivered with QA and revisions, a self-serve AI product (ReimagineHome, free to start, which it says has 2.3M+ users) and a batch tool for enterprises. The first image is free.

  • You want a designer, not a model, to stage the room. At $16–$23 an image with unlimited revisions and a money-back guarantee, Styldod's human staging is cheaper than BoxBrownie's $24 and comes with terms none of the AI tools below offer. The AI tools are far cheaper per image, but nobody at Virtual Staging AI, Collov, AI HomeDesign, Shhots or October promises to look at the result.
  • You need renders or floor plans. Styldod lists 3D rendering from $250 and floor plans from $9 on the same price list as its staging. Of the alternatives, only BoxBrownie (floor plans $24–$32, renders from $280) and PhotoUp (2D floor plans for 20 credits) do either.
  • You want it in 12 hours. Styldod's rush tiers (+$6 an image for 24 hours, +$12 for 12 hours) are faster than BoxBrownie's 48 hours for staging. The AI tools are faster still, but see the first point.
  • You want video from the same supplier. Styldod lists a single property video from $30 and real estate video editing from $60. BoxBrownie and PhotoUp list no video service.

If one of those is you, the rest of this page is for the day you need something Styldod does not do: staging by the hundred at AI prices, an edit back in seconds, or photos when nobody on the job is a photographer.

Styldod and BoxBrownie are the two services here where a designer stages the room and you can ask for changes. PhotoUp's editing is human but its staging is AI. Virtual Staging AI, AI HomeDesign and Shhots are automated; Collov adds a human-assisted option on its two top plans without describing what the person does. October stages per room, not per image, and only rooms its own app captured.

Which alternative, by what you need

Your situationLook atWhy
I want a person to stage my photosBoxBrownie (or stay with Styldod)BoxBrownie's staging is $24 an image in 48 hours with human editors. Styldod's is $16–$23 in 24–48 hours with unlimited revisions and a money-back guarantee, so on price and terms it is hard to beat for human staging. See our virtual staging cost guide.
I want staging in seconds and will check it myselfVirtual Staging AI, Collov AI, AI HomeDesign, ShhotsAll four stage a photo automatically for roughly $0.24–$2.67, depending on plan and volume. Virtual Staging AI and AI HomeDesign are the simplest allowances; Collov and Shhots add video. Compared in more depth in best virtual staging apps.
I want a person to edit my photos (not stage them)PhotoUp, BoxBrownie (or stay with Styldod)Styldod's enhancement is from $1.50 an image, PhotoUp's credit is $1.50 (1.25 for an HDR) and BoxBrownie's is $1.60, all with human editors in 24–48 hours. PhotoUp will assign you a dedicated editor.
I don't have a photographerOctoberEvery other option here starts from a photo you or a photographer took. October guides the capture on an iPhone 12 or newer and returns AI-generated photos drawn from it and a walkthrough, usually within a few hours, with an empty or staged version of any room for $19 or $29. For phone apps that send your shots to editors, see the best real estate photography apps.
I need videoOctober, Shhots, Collov AI (or stay with Styldod)October makes a walkthrough video of the rooms (HD or 4K): AI-generated motion between each room's finished photos, not filmed footage. Shhots makes a 15-second narrated clip from 3–4 photos. Collov's Premium plan makes an AI virtual tour from up to 20 images. Styldod edits video you shoot, from $60, or makes a single property video from $30.
I need floor plans or rendersBoxBrownie, PhotoUp (or stay with Styldod)Styldod floor plans from $9 and 3D renders from $250; BoxBrownie floor plans $24–$32 and renders from $280; PhotoUp 2D floor plans for 20 credits. The AI staging tools and October do neither.

What a 6-room listing costs: per image vs per place

Take a six-room home and 18 photos, three per room, which is what October captures, and stage two of the rooms. Here is that job priced along Styldod's per-image path and October's per-place path, using the list prices above. For the photographer we use PhotoUp's 2026 national average of $230 for a standard shoot of 10–25 MLS-ready photos.

Read it both ways. If you already pay a photographer and only need the editing, Styldod's $27 is less than October's $49, a designer does the staging, and you keep the photographer's camera. If the photos still have to be taken, October's $49 covers the capture too, and the staging gap ($138 against $58) comes from Styldod charging per image and October per room. Your first place with October is free, including the walkthrough (pricing). More on photographer rates in our real estate photography cost guide.

Three things to check before you switch

  • Whether anyone looks at the result. Styldod, BoxBrownie and PhotoUp (for editing) say a person does. Virtual Staging AI, AI HomeDesign, Shhots and October do not promise one; Shhots says outright that nobody reviews it, which is why it is cheap. Collov names a human-assisted option on its top plans only. A staged photo with a sofa through a wall costs more than the $16 you saved.
  • What the price is really per. Per image with a bulk break at 8 (Styldod), per image (BoxBrownie), per credit (PhotoUp), per photo on a monthly allowance (Virtual Staging AI, Collov, AI HomeDesign), per credit on a monthly pool (Shhots) or per room covering every photo of that room (October). Count your photos per listing and listings per month before comparing.
  • Disclosure. A staged or emptied photo is a digitally altered image under California's AB 723 and most MLS rules, whoever makes it, and Collov's redesign tools and AI HomeDesign's wall and floor changes go further than staging. Keep the unaltered photo to publish alongside. Every October photo, staged or not, is AI-generated from your capture, so label it AI-altered or digitally altered where your MLS, portal or state requires; October's download includes the unaltered original of every photo, so you can link or provide it where your MLS or state requires. See AI photo editing and MLS rules.

Questions

What is the best alternative to Styldod?

There is no single one. For staging by a person, BoxBrownie at $24 an image is the closest, though Styldod's $16–$23 with revisions and a guarantee is cheaper. For staging in seconds, Virtual Staging AI, Collov AI, AI HomeDesign and Shhots at roughly $0.24–$2.67 a photo. For human photo editing, PhotoUp from $1.50 a credit. If nobody on the job is a photographer, October guides an iPhone capture and returns AI-generated photos drawn from it, staging per room and a walkthrough video, usually within a few hours.

Is there a cheaper alternative to Styldod for virtual staging?

Per image, yes: Virtual Staging AI works out at about $0.53–$2.67 a photo on its plans, AI HomeDesign about $0.24–$0.63, Collov about $0.24–$0.33 and Shhots about $0.45, all automated and in seconds. October charges $29 per room, covering every photo of that room. No human staging service on this page is cheaper than Styldod's $16 bulk rate.

Which Styldod alternatives offer video?

Of the eight here: October (an AI-generated walkthrough of the rooms, moving between the finished photos from the guided walk, HD or 4K), Shhots (a 15-second narrated clip from 3–4 photos) and Collov AI (an AI virtual tour from up to 20 images on its Premium plan and above). Styldod itself lists a single property video from $30 and video editing from $60. BoxBrownie, PhotoUp, Virtual Staging AI and AI HomeDesign list no video service as of October 2026.

Does Styldod use designers or AI?

Both. Its homepage separates 'Expert Services', delivered with QA and revisions, from ReimagineHome, its self-serve AI product, and a batch tool for enterprises. The per-image prices on this page are for Expert Services. Among the alternatives, BoxBrownie and PhotoUp also use people for editing; Virtual Staging AI, AI HomeDesign, Shhots and October are automated.

Can October stage photos I already have?

No. October stages and edits only rooms captured in its own app on an iPhone 12 or newer, at $19 a room for an empty version or $29 for a staged one. For files you already have, Styldod, BoxBrownie, PhotoUp, Virtual Staging AI, Collov, AI HomeDesign and Shhots are the options on this page.

Did you test all eight?

No. This page compares what each service publishes on its own pricing page or help pages, checked on October 21, 2026. Styldod's /pricing address returned a 404 for us, so its prices come from its virtual staging page. We only describe October from first-hand knowledge, because we make it.
