Shhots AI alternatives in 2026: 9 options compared by what you need

Shhots AI's Real Estate Studio corrects, stages and declutters uploaded listing photos and makes a 15-second narrated clip from them, for about $0.45 a generation on a $49 a month plan with no free tier and no human review, so the alternative you want depends on which part you are missing: for staging alone and cheaper, Virtual Staging AI, StageHQ or AI HomeDesign; for a person on each image, Styldod, BoxBrownie or PhotoUp; for brackets from a real camera, Autoenhance.ai; for tours and a human-assisted tier, Collov AI; and if the photos have not been taken yet, October guides an iPhone capture and returns AI-generated photos drawn from it, an AI walkthrough video of the rooms and staged rooms, usually within a few hours. This page compares nine options from their public pages as of October 2026; it is written by October's founder and ranks October where it fits.

How we compared them

We read Shhots' pricing page and Real Estate Studio page and, for each alternative, its own pricing page or homepage, on October 21, 2026. Shhots publishes its own alternatives articles about BoxBrownie, Virtual Staging AI and others, with a disclosure that Shhots is its product and prices checked in August 2026; we read those too, and where we use a number from them (BoxBrownie's US-dollar prices, REimagineHome's per-plan prices) we say it is a competitor's capture. We did not run the same photos through every service, so this is a comparison of what each one offers and charges, not of image quality.

A note on prices: Shhots, Virtual Staging AI, Collov AI, AI HomeDesign, StageHQ, PhotoUp and Styldod show dollars with no currency named. Shhots' yearly prices ($499 and $999) are about two months cheaper than twelve monthly payments. BoxBrownie's page shows prices by region; we quote its US prices, read on October 27, 2026 with the region set to United States, which are 20% below the list prices in Shhots' August 2026 capture. Autoenhance.ai sells in USD, EUR and GBP.

Who should not switch away from Shhots

Shhots is more candid about what it is than most tools on this page, and a page of alternatives should say so. Its Real Estate Studio page says a staged image costs 55 credits, 'roughly $0.45 a photo on the Pro plan', and explains the price plainly: 'Nobody reviews it, which is why it costs about $0.45 instead of $16 to $75.' It lists what a staging pass never changes (walls, windows, doors, floors, ceilings, built-ins and sightlines), says a comment asking for changes turns the result into a renovation preview rather than a listing photo, keeps the untouched original beside every version, and tells users to label the image as virtually staged because 'NAR Article 12 and most MLS rules require it'. The Studio is on the Pro plan ($49 a month, or $499 a year, 6,000 shared credits) and the Scale plan ($99, or $999, 12,000 credits); the $19 Starter plan does not include it. Shhots is primarily a product-photo and ad-video tool: the same credits buy product images and AI 'UGC' ads, and the Studio is one workspace inside it.

  • You want correction, staging, removal and a clip from one plan. Nothing else here bundles all four. AI HomeDesign bundles staging and edits with no video; Collov bundles staging, edits and a tour but puts editing on its $49 plan.
  • You want the short narrated video. The 15-second walkthrough with an on-camera presenter, built from 3–4 finished photos, is unique on this page. October's walkthrough is a different thing: AI-generated motion through the rooms you captured, made between each room's finished photos, with no presenter.
  • You also sell things. If you run a shop or an ad account alongside listings, Shhots' product images and UGC ads come from the same credits. No property tool here does that.
  • You want it to say what it will not do. The never-changed list and the 'nobody reviews it' line are more than most AI staging tools publish. If you value that candour, it is a reason to stay.

If one of those is you, the rest of this page is for the day you need something Shhots does not do: a free tier or a one-off purchase, a person who looks at the image, brackets merged from a real camera, staging the same room from several angles, a walkthrough video of the whole home, or photos when they have not been taken yet.

On price per staged image, Shhots' roughly $0.45 sits between the yearly-billed subscriptions (Collov $0.24–$0.33 a credit, AI HomeDesign $0.24–$0.63, Virtual Staging AI $0.53–$2.67) and the human services ($16–$30). The difference is the floor: Shhots' cheapest plan with the Studio is $49 a month, where Virtual Staging AI starts at $16, AI HomeDesign at $19 billed yearly and StageHQ at $19 once.

Which alternative, by what you need

Your situationLook atWhy
I only stage, and $49 a month is too muchVirtual Staging AI, AI HomeDesign, StageHQVirtual Staging AI's $19 plan stages 20 photos a month; AI HomeDesign's $19 yearly-billed plan stages or edits 30; StageHQ's $19 pack stages 20 with no subscription. Shhots' 6,000 credits are about 109 stagings a month, more than most agents use.
I want to try before paying, or buy onceStageHQ, Virtual Staging AI, AI HomeDesign, OctoberShhots has no free plan. StageHQ gives 3 watermarked previews and its credits never expire; Virtual Staging AI lets you stage a photo with no sign-up; AI HomeDesign gives a few free photos and a 7-day refund. October's first place, up to 6 rooms with photos and a walkthrough, is free.
I want a person to look at every imageStyldod, BoxBrownie, PhotoUpShhots says nobody reviews its output. Styldod and BoxBrownie stage and edit by hand at $1.50–$24 an image by job; PhotoUp's editors correct from $1.50 a credit, in 24–48 hours.
I shoot brackets with a real cameraAutoenhance.ai, PhotoUpShhots corrects single photos. Autoenhance.ai merges brackets, pulls windows and corrects perspective automatically in 5–10 minutes a shoot; PhotoUp merges HDR by hand at 1.25 credits.
I stage the same room from several angles, or want a tourCollov AICollov's multi-angle staging (3 credits) and human-assisted multi-angle (20 credits, Premium and up) keep furniture consistent across photos of one room, and its Premium plan makes an AI virtual tour from up to 20 images.
I want a video of the whole home, not a 15-second clipOctober, StyldodOctober's walkthrough moves through every room you captured, in HD or 4K: AI-generated motion (Kling) between each room's finished photos, not filmed footage. Styldod edits video you shoot from $60 or makes a single property video from $30. Shhots' clip is 15 seconds from 3–4 photos, with a presenter.
The photos haven't been taken yetOctoberEvery other option starts from a photo you upload. October guides the capture on an iPhone 12 or newer, has an AI image model draw each finished photo from that capture, usually delivers the photos and walkthrough within a few hours, and stages or empties any captured room at $29 or $19, every photo of that room. See virtual staging vs empty room.

What a 6-room listing costs: per credit vs per place

Take a six-room home and 18 photos, three per room, which is what October captures, and suppose two of the rooms are empty and should be staged: six images. Here is that job priced along Shhots' per-credit path and October's per-place path, using the list prices above. Shhots' page gives 55 credits for a staged image and no separate figure for a correction, so we count a correction as 55 credits too; if corrections are cheaper, the Shhots line only gets better. For the photographer we use PhotoUp's 2026 national average of $230 for a standard shoot of 10–25 MLS-ready photos.

Read it both ways. If you already have good photos and list several homes a month, Shhots' $49 covers corrections, stagings and clips for all of them, and the per-image cost falls to cents. If you list one home this month and the photos still have to be taken, October's $49 covers the capture and the finished photos, and the staged rooms are $29 each for every photo of that room. Your first place with October is free, including the walkthrough (pricing). More in our virtual staging cost guide and same-day listing photos.

Three things to check before you switch

  • Whether the room stays the room. Shhots lists what a staging pass never changes and keeps the original beside every version; Virtual Staging AI says it 'Leaves room layout untouched'; October draws every photo anew with an AI image model told to keep walls, floors, windows, fittings and the view as captured, checks each one against your capture and redraws it if the room changed, and labels every staged image; its download includes the unaltered original of every photo. Collov's and AI HomeDesign's renovation tools change the property on purpose, so keep those previews off the listing. Whatever you use, compare each result with the original before it goes on a listing.
  • What the price is really per. Per credit on a monthly pool that resets (Shhots), per photo on a yearly-billed allowance (Virtual Staging AI, AI HomeDesign), per credit on a yearly-billed pool (Collov), per credit that never expires (StageHQ), per download, pay as you go or on a monthly allowance (Autoenhance.ai), per credit with a scale by photo type (PhotoUp), per image and per job (Styldod, BoxBrownie) or per place and per room (October). Count images per listing and listings per month before comparing.
  • Disclosure. Staging, item removal and day-to-dusk edits are alterations under California's AB 723 and most MLS rules, whoever makes them; light and colour corrections generally are not. Shhots' own page says to label staged images and keeps the original; do the same wherever you go. That light and colour exemption does not cover a photo drawn anew: every October photo is AI-generated from your capture, so label it AI-altered or digitally altered where your MLS, portal or state requires. See AI photo editing and MLS rules.

Questions

What is the best alternative to Shhots AI?

It depends on which part of Shhots you use. For staging alone at a lower monthly floor, Virtual Staging AI ($16–$79 a month billed yearly), AI HomeDesign (from $19 billed yearly, with edits) or StageHQ ($19 for 20 photos, no subscription). For a person on every image, Styldod, BoxBrownie or PhotoUp. For brackets from a real camera, Autoenhance.ai. For multi-angle staging and tours, Collov AI. If the photos have not been taken yet, October guides the capture on one iPhone walk, has an AI image model draw the finished photos from it, and stages rooms, usually within a few hours.

How much does Shhots cost for real estate photos?

The Real Estate Studio is on the Pro plan at $49 a month or $499 a year (6,000 shared credits) and the Scale plan at $99 a month or $999 a year (12,000 credits); the $19 Starter plan does not include it. A staged image is 55 credits, which Shhots puts at roughly $0.45 a photo on Pro. There is no free plan, and unused monthly credits reset at the end of the billing cycle, as of October 2026.

Does Shhots have a free plan?

No. Its pricing page lists Starter at $19 a month as the lowest plan, and the Real Estate Studio needs Pro at $49. Among the alternatives, Virtual Staging AI lets you stage a photo with no sign-up, StageHQ gives 3 watermarked previews, AI HomeDesign a few free photos, Collov 5 watermarked trials, Styldod a first image free, and October's first place (up to 6 rooms, photos and a walkthrough) is free.

Does anyone review Shhots' photos?

No, and Shhots says so: 'Nobody reviews it, which is why it costs about $0.45 instead of $16 to $75.' Among the alternatives, Styldod, BoxBrownie and PhotoUp put a person on each image, and Collov AI offers a human-assisted multi-angle staging on its higher plans. Virtual Staging AI, AI HomeDesign, StageHQ, Autoenhance.ai and October do not promise a human review either.

Which Shhots alternatives make a video?

October makes a walkthrough video of every room you captured, in HD or 4K, with no presenter: AI-generated motion between each room's finished photos. Collov AI makes an AI virtual tour from up to 20 images on its Premium plan. Styldod edits video you shoot from $60 or makes a single property video from $30. Shhots' own video is a 15-second narrated clip with an on-camera presenter from 3–4 photos. Virtual Staging AI, AI HomeDesign, StageHQ, Autoenhance.ai, PhotoUp and BoxBrownie list none.

Can October edit or stage photos I already have?

No. October works from captures made in its own app on an iPhone 12 or newer; the app walks you to each spot and takes the photos itself. It stages or empties captured rooms at $29 or $19 per room, every photo of that room, with a visible label on each image. For photos you already have, use one of the other eight options on this page.

Did you test all nine?

No. This page compares what each service publishes on its own pricing page or homepage, checked on October 21, 2026, plus Shhots' own alternatives articles where we say so. We only describe October from first-hand knowledge, because we make it, and Shhots' pages about us should be read the same way.
