Real estate photo apps and services compared: 58 tools in one table
The best real estate photo tool depends on who you want to do the work: capture apps such as Exposio (from $0.99 a photo) and Ovvy ($2 a photo, with a person checking) start from your phone, AI editors such as Imagen for Real Estate ($0.32 a photo) and Autoenhance.ai ($0.75) fix photos you already have in minutes, and human services such as BoxBrownie ($1.60 a photo, 24 hours) and Styldod put a person on every image. The table below puts 58 listing-photo tools from our guides side by side, each row taken from the vendor's own pages by one of our detail guides and dated; October, which writes this page, is one of them.

All 58 tools at a glance
The 58 tools fall into six kinds: 16 capture apps, 17 AI editors, 4 human editing services, 13 virtual staging tools, 3 3D tour apps, 5 video tools. Each name links to the guide with the details, alternatives and sources for that tool. "Price from" is the lowest published price in US dollars for the unit shown (some monthly prices need yearly billing); where a vendor publishes no dollar price, the cell gives its own words. "Not stated" means the vendor's pages we read don't say.

Best for: picks by what you need
Each pick below is worked out from the table, not chosen by hand: change a price in the data and the pick moves with it.
- Cheapest per photo, for photos you already have: Imagen AI (Lightroom desktop app) at $0.05 a photo (Desktop app: from $0.05 a photo with a $7/month minimum). For a browser editor built for property photos, Imagen for Real Estate is $0.32 and HomeHDR $0.55.
- Cheapest per photo, shooting on the phone: Cimm Real Estate Camera and Exposio Real Estate Camera at $0.99 an HDR photo, blended in the app with no person in the loop.
- Fastest: AI HomeDesign, Collov AI, CurbShot: Real Estate Photos, Enhancia, Exposio Real Estate Camera, Fotello, Listing Camera - Real Estate, ListingPix: Real Estate Camera, Lumo: AI Real Estate Camera, PadStyler, ProntoPic, Real Estate Camera AI, StageHQ, Stager AI, StagerGo and Virtual Staging AI say, in their own words, that results come back in seconds or instantly. Most of the others take minutes; the human services take hours to two days.
- A person on every photo: SnapSnapSnap (BoxBrownie), Realty Pro Shots, ListKit: Real Estate Photos, BoxBrownie, PhotoUp, Styldod, Pixlmob, Stuccco and PadStyler put human editors or designers on the work; the lowest per-photo price among the editing services is Pixlmob at $0.65. Ovvy, Imagen for Real Estate and Fotello edit with software and add a person: Ovvy reviews every photo, Imagen for Real Estate and Fotello revise on request.
- Shooting with a phone: 16 capture apps in the table. Ovvy, SnapSnapSnap (BoxBrownie), Realty Pro Shots and ListKit: Real Estate Photos send your shots to people or add a human check; the rest process in the app or with AI. Only October shows you where to stand and takes the photo itself: see the app that tells you where to stand.
- Virtual staging: the lowest monthly AI plans start at $16 a month (Virtual Staging AI); a designer staging by hand starts at $23 an image (PadStyler). October stages a whole room for $29, every photo of it. More in virtual staging cost and the best virtual staging apps.
- Video: 22 tools make one: October, Exposio Real Estate Camera, Nodalview, ListKit: Real Estate Photos, Listing Candy (formerly LensCasa), PropLens: AI Property Camera, Real Estate Camera AI, Fotello, PropertyPixel, Fastlist, Styldod, Pixlmob, Collov AI, Shhots, Trolto, StagerGo, Polycam, AutoReel, Pedra, videotour.ai, RoomLab.app and Walkly. Most build it from your still photos; October's walkthrough is AI-generated motion (Kling) between each room's finished photos, not filmed footage. See turn listing photos into a video.
- Free: Zillow 3D Home costs nothing to use, and many others have a free first listing or a few free photos (in the price column of each detail guide).
How to read the prices: per photo, per listing, per month
The tools charge by four different units, so the lowest number is not always the lowest bill:
- Per photo (Ovvy, BoxBrownie, Autoenhance.ai, Exposio and others): the bill grows with every photo. A 25-photo listing at Ovvy's $2 is $50.
- Per listing (Roomify, Fotello, Fastlist, ListKit, Listing Candy, October): one price however many photos, within a cap. Roomify is $49 a listing; October is $49 a place of up to 6 rooms, or $99 with a walkthrough video.
- Per month (Lumo, Virtual Staging AI, AutoHDR, Matterport and others): cheap per photo at volume, wasted in a quiet month, and some only reach the advertised price billed yearly. Lumo's $29.99 a month covers 500 photos.
- Credit packs (Nodalview, CurbShot, ListingPix, StageHQ, PicAid and others): you buy credits up front and each edit costs one or more. Check how many credits the edit you need takes, and whether unused credits expire (StageHQ's never do).
For one listing a month, per-listing and per-photo prices usually win; for many listings, a subscription or a credit pack does. Our real estate photography cost guide puts these next to hiring a photographer, and the cost calculator does the arithmetic for your volume.
Labels, AB 723 and your MLS
Light, colour, straightening and cropping need no label. Adding, removing or changing anything else does: in California, AB 723 requires a disclosure and a link to the original for any image altered to "add, remove, or change elements", and most MLSs ask for a label on staged photos. 10 of the 58 tools say they label staged or altered photos, or offer to: Collov AI, CurbShot: Real Estate Photos, Imagen for Real Estate, Lumo: AI Real Estate Camera, October, PhotoUp, PropLens: AI Property Camera, Real Estate Camera AI, Stageflow and Stuccco. For every other tool, and for anything they don't label, adding the label and keeping the original is your job.
October labels its Empty and Staged rooms on the image ("Virtually emptied", "Virtually staged") but not its standard photos. Those are AI-generated too: an AI image model draws each one from your capture, so label them as AI-altered or digitally altered where your MLS or state requires (CRMLS Rule 11.5.2 accepts either). October's download includes the unaltered original of every photo, so you can link or provide it where your MLS or state requires. Read California AB 723, MLS photo rules by MLS and AI photo editing and MLS rules before you list.
Method, dates and disclosure
Every row is copied from one of our detail guides, which read it from the vendor's own pricing page, website or App Store listing; the guide each row comes from is the one its name links to. Two rows rest on a dated copy because the vendor's page did not load for us: Matterport's plans (a PricingSaaS capture of October 12, 2026) and Stuccco's prices (the Internet Archive's copy of July 10, 2026). The rows were checked between 2026-10-20 and 2026-10-27, each on the date shown in the dataset. We did not buy or run any of these tools except October, so the table compares what vendors publish, not image quality.
Left out: general photo and video editors (Lightroom, Snapseed, iMovie, CapCut, Canva) and general image models such as ChatGPT and Gemini, which are covered in virtual staging with ChatGPT, Gemini and Canva; House AI, a room-redesign app rather than a listing-photo tool; and staging studios whose prices we only have from a competitor's table.
